SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - TREASURER’S OFFICE POSTED MARCH 12, 2017
Town of Glocester is seeking an experienced accountant that reports to the Director of Finance/School Business Manager/HR Director. This position is responsible for the general ledger accounting and Uniform Chart of Accounts (UCOA) compliance. Duties include assisting with the preparation of the annual audit, all aspects of grant activities ensuring compliance, assisting with the budget preparation monitoring expenses throughout the year, proficient in payroll functions for back-up, and completing reports for governmental agencies as required. Knowledge of human resources is preferred. Applicant must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office products. Experience with Great Plains (Dynamics) or other general ledger software preferred. Salary range $45,000 – $55,000 based on qualifications and experience. EOP.

DISPATCHER: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY POSTED FEBRUARY 16, 2017
The Town of Glocester is now accepting applications for a full time police/fire dispatcher. The work shift is rotating schedules covering 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays. Applicants must be prepared to work a variety of shifts and occasional call-ins with short notice. General duties will include: answering emergency and routine phone calls; dispatching police and fire emergency services; greeting the public; and some clerical and data entry functions. Ability to multi-task in high stress situations and a sufficient familiarity with computers, are highly desirable attributes of candidates for this position. Preference given to applicants with dispatch experience in the fire service and/or law enforcement discipline.
