CITIZEN COMPLAINTS/COMPLIMENTS
D.A.R.E. The Drug Awareness Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program is a national initiative designed to alert children
and their families to the dangers of illegal drugs. D.A.R.E. officers pay regular visits to the elementary and middle schools in the community and educate the children about the consequences of drug use, how to resist
peer pressure, etc. This early and continued interaction between police officers and students helps prepare the youngsters for some of the pressures of high school and, hopefully, also engenders respect for the law and
those who enforce it.

FLEET WATCH
This program is designed to build a partnership between the Glocester Police Department and businesses that have one or more vehicles (delivery, service, buses, etc.) working in the community. Drivers are trained to
become more aware of people and places along their routes, and to report any suspicious activity to the police. At times these volunteers may also be given suspect/vehicle descriptions, safety precautions, and
other timely information regarding area criminal activity. Essentially, this results in many more "eyes and ears"
for the police and the Glocester community. For more information, contact Ptlmn. Alan Gustafson at 568-2533 from 8:00am-4:00pm.
